And this is my initial review of EZPZHosting
I signed up for a Reseller account on Saturday Sept 4th,
My sales rep was username Dan_EZPZ on WHT,
This review might seem a little premature, but I would like to share what I got so far, and I do plan to keep adding to this each month.
My Initial Problem
I have been wanting to start my own hosting company for quite some time but finding a host that won't go out of business in 3 months is a hard thing to find these days,
Add on top of that, that I don't really have the technical know how to manage a server or to offer superb support and my plan really didn't seem all that feasible.
I needed a solution that would:
A. Offer reasonable pricing.
B. Offer great support to my clients.
C. Manage and help me with things that I can't handle myself.
D. Offered a West Coast USA server.
Solution
I had been eying EZPZ's reseller offer over at Webhostingtalk along with some of the competitors for quite some time and was a tad skeptical at first by just how much they were offering and at the price they had, their plans had everything I needed, Ample Space and BW, reasonable price, end user support, Servers in LA, and so much more, almost sounds to good to be true right?
But after reading some of the reviews at WHT and on these forums my nerves where calmed and I contacted Dan via PM, after a short chat and some agreements I signed up for an account.
Now for my REVIEW
Part 1 Signing Up!
I signed up for the Professional account that was setup instantly and promptly upgraded to the Enterprise account free of charge, this upgrade bumps my Space to 50GB and my BW to 400GB.
I also purchased a dedicated IP and no branding on my WHMCS.
For around 30US$ this is a real steal and anyone who is thinking of signing up I honestly wouldn't hesitate, because who knows how long this offer will be available.
Part 2 Support
So far I have submitted 8 tickets to their support team
4 medium priority,
(1 of these should have been low I forgot to change it when submitting the ticket
)and 4 low priority tickets
The 4 medium priority tickets where responded to extremely fast each under 20 min and one under 10 min.
The 4 low priority tickets where each responded to between 30 min and 1 Hr.
Each ticket was responded to in a very professional and detailed manner enabling me to solve the issue without much thought on my part,
And I know they say 5-10 min response time on their homepage but I was getting 15-20 min resolution time which is pretty awesome.
Also I might add some of these tickets were sent in the wee hours of the night, so anyone still wondering if they offer true 24/7 support, my answer as of right now would have to be yes.
Part 3Uptime
I have not experienced any downtime at any point since I setup my account.
Part 4 Server and Network
According to their homepage the server hardware is top notch and they offer Raid Protection which is a nice bonus, I'm not going to jump into this anymore because all the terms are like reading greek to me.
Now onto the Networks, I had my account setup in their LA server, as far as downloads speeds go they are really fast from Vancouver, BC the upload speeds are a tad lacking but my Telus ADSL really sucks when it comes to uploading so I blame it on that.
Download speeds are about 800kb/s to 1.3MB/s and sometimes they burst to over 3MB/s.
Uploads speeds are very random but range from 80kb/s to 170kb/s
again I stress my ADSL is the worst when it comes to uploading anything and these speeds are normal on my line no matter what server I'm uploading to.
I'm no expert on DNS servers but I think they have this spread out to multiple locations which makes reliability much better,
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Part 5 Migration
I didn't use their migration services, I'm not a complete beginner
But I'm sure they provide an amazing job.
Part 6 Freebies Features and Extras
Although I wouldn't call these real freebies, features or extras as they are added into the price, after all someone has to pay for them, but with that being said you do get a whole load of stuff for around $30 and it just makes the offer that much more appealing.
I broke this down to 14 parts because I have micro reviews of each one.
1.SSL
They give you a free SSL certificate just submit a ticket with your CSR and no joke of a lie it's set up in about 2 hours.
NOTE..... You do need to purchase a Dedicated IP for this option, which cost $2.30 US but when it comes to security and piece of mind these things are very much worth that $2.30.
2.Templates
The templates they offer are nice but they aren't WOW, pretty much you get a typical homepage and subpage, you would have to do some html coding rewrite a lot of the wording and put your own spin on things like the pictures and such, and if you wanted to integrate your WHMCS into the design I believe it would be rather difficult for a novice.
I'm not sure if their support would help with these things but I could be wrong.
In the end it's better then having nothing.
3.Legal Documents
The legal documents are.... well typical legal documents, I don't really know how they would make it much different from the millions that are out there already.
The documents EZPZ offers are pretty comprehensive and the system they use to set it up is pretty dang easy, it's a nice bonus that more companies should offer free of charge when you sign up for a reseller account.
4.Resell VPS servers
EZPZ enables you to resell their VPS servers at a discounted price and it's a fair discount.
The only thing I don't know is if they offer the end user support to these clients as well, so that is something that they should clarify a bit more.
5.Free Domain
It is what it is, a free domain, lots of host offer this on yearly plans and such.
You have to keep your account active with EZPZ for 90 days to retain ownership of the domain, read their TOS etc for more info.
6.Sell Reseller Account
This is a nice option for some, it's not really for me,
I've already seen a few of their customers on WHT selling outrageous reseller plans.
Not something I personally like but as long as they watch them so the servers don't spike, I don't really care.
7.R1soft Backups
This is always a great addon and even better because your clients would have access to this as well.
8.Fully Loaded Knowledgebase
The knowledgebase is pretty common, it's over 100 articles, and you just do a MySQL injection and it's done, nice addon some host charge for this not EZPZ.
9.cPanel addons
Installatron RVSitebuilder RVSkin all awesome addons and just make your offer to your customers all the more appealing and of course at no added charge.
10.Video Tutorials
Inside their client area they have videos to help you with everything from DNS management to how make WHMCS more secure, it's really something more host should have instead of documents, they say a picture is worth a thousand words well a video is worth about 10000 pictures.
11.WHMCS
The billing software everyone loves comes free with all of the packages, they offer you the choice of removing the branding for an added price (Around $6 USD), this is an option I chose as I hate branding on anything.
12.cPanel
Yes it's free this is common with about 99.9% of host but I just thought I would let everyone know it's there.
13.End User Support
This is one of the main reasons I chose EZPZ, they don't just handle support but billing and sales as well all I can say is that's awesome,
and from the support question I have already submitted I know my clients will be in good hands.
14.Domain Reseller Account
They offer two domain reseller accounts, with some research just about anyone can obtain these, it's just added bonus to help you not have to go through the hassle of finding it.
Part 7 EZPZ Client Area
I found the site loads a little slow for me but I believe they have it hosted in the UK and I'm in Vancouver so it's understandable also it takes a little bit to learn just how their client area works and where things are this is my only real problem with EZPZ.

Part 9 Conclusion
For a long time I have been looking for a company that I could grow great with and I believe EZPZ is that company, and If someone said “Jay would you recommend your hosting company” as of right now I would said “yes” and I believe this review reflects that
For the price and the many added bonuses I hope this is one relationship that never ends.
I would also like to say thanks to the EZPZ Team thanks for the help with my minor problems,
